Wow, look at that. Two posts in one weekend.
I’ve been sitting on this for a few weeks now without telling people, but now it’s finally here I’m excited to spill. Remember Ode to an Odyssey? That story I wrote about Odysseus being a mopey bastard after the Fall of Troy, which won a commendation in the competition I entered it into?
Well, it turns out The Classical Association put together a bunch of their favourite entries and had them narrated as audio shorts. They’ve been dropping daily on The Classics Podcast, and yours truly has made the cut!
Katrina Kelly, Engagement Coordinator at the Association, has done a masterful job at bringing my words to life, and it’s certainly been surreal hearing my own words read back to me. I’ve never had any of my work narrated before or been involved in any sort of audio production, so this is definitely another milestone to add to the sticker book.
I’m told that at some point, all the stories will be compiled into a digital compendium available on their website. I’ll be sure to post a link to that as soon as it’s up.
Please be sure to check out some of the others, as I’ve been listening to a few of them this month and I haven’t heard a single bad one.
Not a bad way to finish the weekend.
